Balochistan Cabinet Approves Rs 1020 Billion Budget

An important meeting of the Balochistan Cabinet was held here at the Chief Minister Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, in which the budget for the financial year 2025-26 was approved. In the meeting, the cabinet members unanimously declared the budget for the upcoming financial year to be in line with the needs of the people of the province, development goals and reform measures. Addressing the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that despite limited resources, the provincial government has prepared a comprehensive and balanced budget keeping in mind public welfare, development priorities and institutional reforms. According to the briefing given during the meeting, the total budget volume for the financial year 2025-26 has been kept at Rs 1020 billion. Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that the 98 percent release of the development budget during the last financial year is a great achievement. Which is the result of the tireless work of all ministries, bureaucracy and the team of the Finance Minister. He said that skill development has been the top priority of the Balochistan government. With the efforts of the Adviser on Labor and his team, this project is not only running successfully But under it, the second batch of 2300 youth will soon be sent for training. The Chief Minister said that the major project of solarization of agricultural tube wells is running transparently, For which the last installment is expected from the federal government soon. In mega projects worth Rs 60 billion, funds are being transferred directly to the landowners through the State Bank, which is a practical example of transparency. He said that the education sector was a big challenge, but the Balochistan government has solved the problem of SBK and reactivated 3200 closed schools. A revolutionary step has also been taken in the health sector Under which 150 basic health units will be connected to the telemedicine system by the end of this month. Regarding pension reforms, the Chief Minister appreciated the services of the bureaucracy, especially Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, and said that long-term financial management Reforms were inevitable for which have now been successfully completed. The Chief Minister said that the prosecution department has been seriously included in the budget this time So that the justice delivery system can be improved, he announced that the presence of Rescue 1122 will be ensured in every district next year So that a quick response can be provided in emergency situations. Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that strategic and livelihood projects are being given importance in the new budget In addition, irrigation, communication, education, health, law and order and climate change have been included in the main priorities of the budget. The cabinet paid rich tribute to the coalition government, the Finance Minister, the Planning Department and the bureaucracy for the 98 percent implementation of the development budget.
