RAWALPINDI: A man moved Rawalpindi’s purchaser court on Sunday against a nearby local boutique charging that he was sold an old sherwani for his cousin’s wedding service.
The resident, named Usman Shabbir, sent a remuneration notice to the proprietor of the nearby shop, looking for Rs500,000 from him.
In the notification, Shabbir said that the proprietor of the shop requested Rs20,000 to plan a new sherwani and a measure of Rs15,000 was paid ahead of time.
“The proprietor of the shop gave an old sherwani rather than a recently planned one,” read the notification, adding that the proprietor disregarded the Punjab Purchaser Security Act 2005.
The area purchaser court gathered the owner of boutique on January 2, 2024 (Tuesday). Shabbir had requested a sherwani from the shop on September 8.
Sherwani is a knee-length coat securing to the neck, worn by men from South Asia, normally at weddings.
