Massive Hike in Vehicle Transfer Fees Announced in Islamabad

The transfer fee for vehicles in the federal capital Islamabad has been significantly increased, while for the first time in history, a transfer fee has also been imposed on electric vehicles. The new rates will come into effect immediately. According to a notification issued by the Chief Commissioner’s Office, Islamabad: The fee for vehicles up to 1000 cc has been increased from Rs 1200 to Rs 2750. The fee for vehicles between 1000 and 1800 cc has been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 5500. The fee for vehicles above 1800 cc has been increased from Rs 3000 to Rs 11000.

New transfer fee for electric vehicles:

Up to 50 kW: Rs 2,500 50 to 100 kW: Rs 5,500 More than 100 kW: Rs 10,000

Motorcycle fee:

Up to 200 cc: Increased from Rs 150 to Rs 550 200 to 400 cc: Rs 1,000 More than 400 cc: Rs 1,500
