Girls’ Education A Challenge, Muslim Nations Must Act : Pm

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that girls’ education is a major challenge of the time, and Muslim countries will have to work on a large scale in this regard.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of a two-day international conference titled “Girls’ Education in Muslim Societies, Challenges and Opportunities” in the federal capital, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that girls’ education is one of the major challenges facing us today. Muslim countries need to work on a large scale to address this.

Ministers, important personalities and representatives of many institutions and organizations from 47 countries also participated in the international conference.

Addressing the ceremony, the Prime Minister further said that the government of Pakistan is taking all measures and utilizing all resources to promote girls’ education.

He said that getting an education is a basic need of every society and the challenges it must face. Joint measures must be taken to allow girls to access education in poor countries.

He said Islam has emphasized the importance of acquiring knowledge for all sections of society, including women.

The Prime Minister also referred to the services of Hazrat Khadija in this regard in the early days of Islam. He said that the sister of the founder of Pakistan, Ms. Fatima Jinnah, also fully supported the struggle for the establishment of Pakistan.

Similarly, Benazir Bhutto became the first female Prime Minister of the Islamic world, we pay tribute to her. Today, Maryam Nawaz is the first female Chief Minister of Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif said that our women are capable and are proving their capabilities in every field. Our women are brave.

Arfa Karim has made Pakistan famous in the field of information technology, it is an honor for us to organize the international conference and Malala Yousafzai’s participation in it is also a source of pride. She is a symbol of courage and determination.

During his speech, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also recited a few sentences in Arabic, on which the participants applauded and appreciated him.
