State Bank Cuts Interest Rates By Two Percentage Points
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has reduced the interest rate by another two percentage points, after which the interest rate has come down from 15 percent to 13 percent.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Governor of the State Bank in which a new monetary policy was formulated.
After the meeting, the State Bank issued a statement stating that the interest rate had been reduced by 200 basis points.
After the reduction, the policy rate decreased from 15 percent to 13 percent.
It should be noted that the State Bank continues to reduce interest rates, which is the fifth time that the interest rate has been reduced.
