According to the report, visa processing platform Atlys has reported a 62 percent increase in Dubai visa rejections.
This increase is due to the new and stricter visa rules of the UAE.
The report said that the UAE’s strict visa rules are aimed at curbing fraudulent applications. Countries affected by this include Pakistan, India, and others, which face additional scrutiny and higher chances of visa rejection.
These rules were introduced because there was a significant increase in the number of expatriates and workers going to Dubai for work.
According to the Atlas report, visas are taking longer to process, with delays of one and a half to two days. Emirati officials are being more cautious and are asking for more documents from citizens.
The report further stated that 71 percent of visa applications are being rejected due to incomplete or incorrect paperwork.
The main reasons for this include not meeting the new requirements, having poor passport photos, submitting incorrect photos, or failing to provide proof of return flights or hotel reservations.
