Journalist Matiullah Jan’s Physical Remand Decision Suspended
The Islamabad High Court suspended the decision on journalist Matiullah Jan’s physical remand.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the petition against Matiullah Jan’s 2-day physical remand.
President Islamabad High Court Bar Riyat Ali Azad appeared in the court, while Matiullah Jan’s lawyers Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha also appeared in the court.
Lawyer Islamabad High Court Bar Riyat Ali Azad read out the FIR in the court and said that there is no mention of buying and selling ice in the FIR.
The Islamabad High Court, while suspending the decision on journalist Matiullah Jan’s 2-day physical remand, said that Matiullah Jan should now be considered on judicial remand.
It may be recalled that the Anti-Terrorism Court had remanded Matiullah Jan to police custody for a two-day physical remand yesterday.
