Pakistan & Belarus Sign Several Agreements Including Trade
Pakistan and Belarus signed MoUs and agreements in various sectors including energy, agriculture, trade, and education.
A formal reception ceremony was held at the Prime Minister’s House on Tuesday in honor of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the Belarusian President upon arriving at the Prime Minister’s House.
The two leaders shook hands enthusiastically, and a bright contingent of the armed forces presented him with a guard of honor.
On this occasion, the two countries’ national anthems were played, and the Belarusian President inspected the guard of honor.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif introduced the cabinet members to the Belarusian President, while the distinguished guest also introduced the Prime Minister to the members of his delegation. The Belarusian President also planted a sapling in the green area of ​​the Prime Minister’s House.
Various memorandums of understanding and agreements were signed between Belarus and Pakistan. A roadmap for cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan was signed.
Memorandum of Understanding on Electronic Commerce Cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan and the Antimonopoly Service of Belarus. Agreement on Science and Technology Cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences and the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
A Memorandum of Understanding in the field of accreditation was signed between the Pakistan National Accreditation Council of Pakistan and the Republican Unity Enterprise of Belarus.
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Committee of State Control of Belarus and the Audit General Office of Pakistan and, Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Financial Supervision of the State Control Committee of Belarus and the Financial Monitoring Unit of the Government of Pakistan were signed.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Pakistan Customs, FBR, and the State Customs Committee of Belarus, Agreement between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Pakistan Academy of Sciences were signed.
A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of environmental protection was signed between the Ministry of Natural Resources of Belarus and the Ministry of Climate Change of Pakistan, and a Memorandum of Understanding on the prevention and elimination of emergencies was signed between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus and NDMA Pakistan.
MoUs between NAVTTC Pakistan and the Belarusian Educational Institution Agreement on extradition between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Pakistan and DRAP for expertise and testing in health services, MoU on cooperation between the Ministry of National Health Services of Pakistan and the Republican Unitary Enterprise of Belarus.
A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in halal trade was signed between the Pakistan Halal Authority Ministry of Science and Technology and the Belarusian Halal Standardization and Certification Center of Belarus.
