Yawar Abbas’s Body Recovered After Trekking Tragedy
Prominent social media activist and youth leader Yawar Abbas went missing yesterday after falling into a mountain gorge while trekking in the Shein Bar, Chaprot area of ​​Wadi Nagar.
As soon as the information was received, local volunteers made every effort throughout the day, but could not reach the accident site due to the severe difficulties of the area.
This morning, a Pakistan Army helicopter was sent for rescue, but it too could not reach the desired location due to the mountainous geography and poor accessibility and had to return soon.
Despite this, three local young volunteers recovered Yawar Abbas’s body from a very difficult location after tireless efforts. According to reports, he died after falling into Bar Nala, Bar Das Valley.
Thousands of people have paid tribute to Yawar’s struggle on social media and have called his death a national tragedy for Gilgit-Baltistan.
