Karachi: Pakistan has achieved another significant milestone in its maritime history as one of the world’s largest and most advanced container ships, MSC Mikol, successfully berthed at the South Asia Pakistan Terminal (SAPT)
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry welcomed the arrival of the vessel, calling it a historic moment for Pakistan. He stated that the arrival of MSC Mikol is clear evidence of international shipping lines’ confidence in Pakistan’s port handling capacity and infrastructure
The 400-meter-long vessel, with a capacity of 24,000 TEUs, marks a significant milestone for Pakistan, positioning the country as an emerging shipping and trade hub in the region.
Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry further added that the **maritime sector will serve as a strong foundation for Pakistan’s future economic growth.
