ISLAMABAD: The World Bank has approved a loan of one billion dollars for Pakistan.
The World Bank has approved a billion-dollar loan for the Dasu Hydropower Project. The additional funds sanctioned will be spent on Phase One of the Dasu Hydro project.
The World Bank says that the project will improve and expand the supply of electricity and provide access to socio-economic facilities to the people. Dasu Hydro Project will be a game changer for Pakistan. This will generate cheap electricity in Pakistan.
According to the World Bank, 4320 MW to 5400 MW of electricity will be generated when the project is completed. The estimated power generation in the first phase is 2160 MW.
