Wider Tax Scope Eases Treasury Burden: Finance Minister
Faisalabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that increasing the scope of taxes has reduced the burden on the national exchequer.
Addressing the third All Pakistan Chambers Presidents Conference in Faisalabad, Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the country’s economy is moving towards improvement and steps are being taken for economic stability.
He said that the inflation rate has reduced to single digits, tax collections have increased due to reforms, it is repeatedly said that why do we go to the IMF, hospitals can run with charity, education can run but the government cannot run with charity.
The Finance Minister said that working together with the private sector is the need of the hour, increasing the scope of taxes has reduced the burden on the national exchequer.
