UNICEF ECW Internship 2026: A Global Opportunity for Pakistani Students and Young Professionals

About Education Cannot Wait (ECW)
Education Cannot Wait (ECW) is the first global multilateral fund dedicated to ensuring children and youth affected by conflict, disasters, and crises have access to education. Hosted by UNICEF, ECW operates in over 190 countries, making education more accessible and sustainable in emergency situations.
Interns joining ECW will become part of the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team, playing a key role in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data that guide real-world education programs.
Internship Details

- Location: Geneva / New York / Remote
- Duration: 6 months (Full-time, 35 hours per week)
- Expected Start: February – March 2026

- Stipend: USD 1,700 per month (Geneva, New York, Copenhagen); 70% of GS-3 Step-1 salary in other locations
What You’ll Do
As an M&E intern, you will support ECW’s team in strengthening data systems, reports, and knowledge products across global education programs. Your responsibilities may include:
1. Reviewing and analyzing data from ECW-supported programs2. Contributing to ECW’s Annual Results Report 2025
3. Conducting background research, literature reviews, and interviews
4. Drafting learning briefs, blogs, and other knowledge-sharing materials
5. Supporting information management systems and qualitative data collection
6. Assisting in organizing webinars and learning exchanges with global partners
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants must:
1. Be at least 18 years old
2. Be enrolled in a master’s program or have graduated within the last three years
3. Have an academic background in Education, Social Sciences, International Development, or related fields
4. Demonstrate research and data analysis skills (Excel, R, STATA, Power Query, Kobo, etc.)
5. Have excellent English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
6. Be available to work online during Geneva/CET hours
Preferred qualifications:
1. Experience drafting reports in education or humanitarian sectors
2. Lived experience in a low- or middle-income country
3. Strong analytical and writing abilities
4. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish
Internships are primarily remote, though office space is available in Geneva and New York. Interns are allowed up to 2.5 days off per month; additional days reduce the stipend. All interns follow UNICEF’s rules and safeguarding standards.
