UAE President lauds PM Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed their shared commitment to promote broader cooperation in priority areas, including economic, political, and cultural relations.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with UAE President Hamad bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Rahim Yar Khan today and the two leaders agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the two leaders expressed their shared commitment to further promote economic, political,l and cultural relations.

They discussed a range of issues including economic cooperation, regional stability, climate change, and the promotion of mutual interests at the global level.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the important role of the UAE in Pakistan’s development journey and stressed Pakistan’s commitment to enhance cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, technology, infrastructure construction and renovation, development of skills and vocational training among youth and trade.

On this occasion, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the UAE’s keen interest in cooperating with Pakistan in the mining, minerals, and agriculture sectors.

According to the statement, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s dynamic leadership instabilizingg Pakistan’s economy and stressed that this new economic power has created opportunities for increased bilateral investment and cooperation.

The UAE President reiterated the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its long-standing partnership with Pakistan, also emphasizing the importance of people-to-people contacts and shared prosperity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Sheikh Zayed Mohamed bin Nahyan for the UAE’s unwavering support during difficult times, especially in terms of economic cooperation.

The two leaders reiterated their commitment to peace and development in the region and called for working together on issues of mutual interest.

According to the statement, the meeting concluded with a shared commitment to promote broader cooperation, especially in priority areas, to ensure a bright future for both countries.
