Field Marshal, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Syed Asim Munir, met the Pakistan Under-19 cricket team at the General Headquarters (GHQ). On the occasion, he warmly congratulated the players, team management, and officials on their historic triumph in the Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal praised the team’s discipline, teamwork, and courageous performance, stating that the achievement is a matter of great pride for the entire nation and reflects the immense talent and potential of Pakistan’s youth.
Addressing the young cricketers, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir advised them to continue working hard while maintaining professional standards and to serve as ambassadors of Pakistan both on and off the field, bringing further honor to the country.
He emphasized that the youth are the foundation of the nation’s future and that their energy, skills, and character play a vital role in national development and in enhancing Pakistan’s global standing. The Field Marshal reaffirmed his commitment to empowering young Pakistanis through discipline, integrity, and hard work so that they may achieve excellence in various fields.
On this occasion, members of the Under-19 team expressed their gratitude to the Field Marshal for his encouragement and support, stating that the interaction would motivate them to strive for even better performances in the future.
