Traditional Beauty of Quetta to Be Restored: CM Vows
Quetta: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti regarding the Quetta Development Project, in which the progress of ongoing development projects and proposed projects were discussed in detail.
Commissioner Quetta Hamza Shafqat and Project Director Rafique Baloch gave a briefing in the meeting. The meeting announced the start of implementation of a comprehensive plan to restore Quetta’s traditional beauty.
Proposals were also presented on new projects for the expansion and beautification of roads in densely populated areas.
While formally launching the Airport Road expansion and beautification project, the Chief Minister directed that high-quality work and the specified timeline should be ensured in all projects.
He announced that the residents of 14 mud houses affected by the road expansion will be given beautiful pucca houses equipped with all facilities.
The Chief Minister ordered that legal action be taken against those obstructing or spoiling the beauty of the Airport Road Beautification Project, while an FIR be registered against those who chalked the walls.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani, Advisor to Local Government Nawabzada Baba Amir Hamza Zehri, Additional Chief Secretary Hafiz Abdul Basit, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, Secretary Communications Lal Jan Jaffer and other relevant officials.
