Trade war flares up again, US hits China
Trade tensions between the US and China have reached a peak once again. US President Donald Trump has reacted strongly to China’s 34% retaliatory tariffs on US products.
He has warned that if China does not withdraw this decision by April 8, the US will impose an additional 50% tariff on China from April 9.
Donald Trump said, “I have already made it clear that any country that imposes additional tariffs against the US will face strong US measures.
“He announced the end of the ongoing negotiations with China and said that the US will start trade talks with other countries.
China has also retaliated by not only imposing tariffs on US products but also adding eleven major US companies to the list of ‘unreliable entities’, after which these companies will not be able to continue doing business in China.
