A senior delegation from Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency platform, led by its Global CEO Richard Teng, visited Pakistan for high-level meetings with the country’s top civil and military leadership. The purpose of the visit was to discuss opportunities for establishing a secure and effective regulatory framework for digital assets and virtual currencies in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, held a joint meeting with the Binance leadership. Both leaders expressed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting modern financial technologies, crypto security, digital investments, and a reliable regulatory structure.
Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA), Bilal bin Saqib, also attended the meeting and briefed the participants on the authority’s goals, regulatory priorities, and the future of digital finance in Pakistan.
According to sources, the Government of Pakistan reaffirmed its determination to play an active role in global digital economy and blockchain technology. Binance also expressed willingness to strengthen technical cooperation and support Pakistan in developing a secure digital financial ecosystem.
