Remarkably Pakistan Army Wins 3rd Inter Services Combat Shooting Championship 2025

The Pakistan Army won the 3rd Inter Services Combat Shooting Championship 2025 by securing victory in all four inter-services matches during the 45th Pakistan Army Rifle Association (PARA) Central Meet held at the Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU), Jhelum. According to ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest.   The PARA Central Meet 2025 was organized from October 1 to November 10, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Civil Armed Forces, and rifle associations from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and the federal territories. Participants showcased exceptional shooting skills, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. In the individual and unit-level matches, the Punjab Regiment emerged as the winner of the Unit Firing Proficiency Match (Group-I). Sepoy Muhammad Irfan of the Punjab Regiment earned the title of “Master at Arms,” while Naib Subedar Umar Farooq of the Army Marksmanship Unit won the Army Hundred Rifle Match Trophy. While interacting with the participants, the Chief of Army Staff appreciated their outstanding performance and professionalism. He emphasized that excellence in marksmanship must remain a key focus of military training, highlighting its importance in ensuring operational preparedness and precision in the field, said ISPR. Following the ceremony, Field Marshal Asim Munir attended the centenary celebrations of the Military College Jhelum (MCJ) as the chief guest. He inaugurated the Centenary Monument and College Museum, marking 100 years of the institution’s legacy in producing capable leaders and disciplined officers. The COAS appreciated the college’s significant role in instilling leadership, patriotism, and commitment to national service among its cadets. He also acknowledged the contributions of the college’s alumni, known as Alamgirians, to Pakistan and its armed forces. During his visit, the Chief of Army Staff laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
