Terrorists Using American Weapons In Afghanistan : Pakistan
Pakistan has called on the international community to take action against weapons held by terrorists.
At the Arya Formula meeting of the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan expressed concern over the acquisition and use of modern and deadly illegal weapons by the so-called Baloch Liberation Army, Majeed Brigade and the banned TTP, among other terrorist groups.
Counselor of the Pakistani mission, Syed Atif Raza, addressing the meeting, said that terrorist groups have illegal weapons worth billions of dollars left in Afghanistan, which are being used against the citizens and armed forces of Pakistan. Terrorist organizations also receive external aid and financial support from the opposing country.
The Pakistani counselor demanded that international partners recover the stockpiles of weapons left in Afghanistan and prevent terrorist groups from accessing weapons. Effective steps should be taken to close the black market in illegal weapons.
