Terrorist Attack on Police Checkpost in Bannu, 2 Officers Martyred
In Bannu, a terrorist attack on a police checkpost resulted in the martyrdom of 2 police officers and injury to one.
According to the DPO Bannu, terrorists blew up the main gate of the New Sabzi Mandi police checkpost with explosives, after which they entered the premises and engaged in heavy firing.
The terrorists’ gunfire also caused significant damage to nearby shop windows and solar panels. Rescue 1122 reported that the electric transformer installed at the police checkpost fell from its pole.
Last month, 8 terrorists on motorcycles attacked the Dhara Pul police checkpost in Bannu, but the police successfully repelled the attack with timely action.
