Taliban Warns Khawarij: No Jihad Without Emir’s Order
Kabul: Senior Afghan Taliban commander and instructor at Kabul Police Headquarters, Saeedullah Saeed, has issued a stern warning to the group known as “Fitnatul Khawarij” against carrying out terror operations outside Afghanistan.
While addressing the passing out ceremony of police officers, Commander Saeedullah Saeed stated that fighting in any foreign land without the order of the Emir is not permissible and goes against the principles of Islamic obedience.
He emphasized that those joining different factions and conducting so-called “jihad” in other countries are not true Mujahideen. “Labeling such individuals as Mujahideen is a grave mistake,” he said. “Only the state Emir has the authority to declare jihad. No individual or group has that right.”
He further added that engaging in military actions contrary to state leadership is a form of religious disobedience.
It is worth mentioning that in August 2023, Taliban supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada had issued a fatwa declaring that any attacks conducted outside Afghanistan would not be considered jihad, but rather unauthorized warfare.
