In the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces killed 9 Khawarji terrorists, including 2 suicide bombers, in an intelligence-based operation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur.
While the forces had received information about the presence of foreigners the previous day, the operation was carried out on the intervening night of October 23 and 24 on the information of the presence of Khawarij.
According to ISPR, the security forces effectively targeted the hideout of Khawarij during the operation.
Meanwhile, there was an exchange of fire between the security forces and the Khwaraj terrorists, as a result of which 9 Khwaraj terrorists were killed.
According to ISPR, the killed Khawarij include 2 suicide bombers and a wanted Khawarij leader Saeed alias Qureshi Ustad.
ISPR informed that a huge amount of arms, ammunition, and explosives had been recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists.
According to ISPR, Khawarij was involved in several terrorist attacks against security forces and innocent civilians.
The spokesperson said in a statement that the clearance operation is ongoing to eliminate any more foreigners found in the area, Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
