Strong Earthquake Tremors Felt Across Pakistan, Including Islamabad
Severe tremors were felt in different parts of the country, including Islamabad, after which people came out of their homes reciting the Kalima Tayyaba.
Apart from the federal capital, severe tremors were also felt in the twin cities of Rawalpindi, which spread fear and panic among the people.
According to the report, tremors were felt in Swat and its surroundings, and tremors were also felt in Swabi.
The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 4.3 on the Richter scale, the Seismological Center said that the depth of the earthquake was 88 kilometers.
The epicenter of the earthquake was the border area of ​​​​Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said in a statement that the earthquake’s magnitude was recorded as 5.5 on the Richter scale, with the epicenter located in the northeastern area of ​​Rawalpindi.
The Meteorological Department further said that the epicenter of the earthquake was 60 kilometers northwest of Rawalpindi.
