Special Traffic Plan Issued For Test Matches In Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A special traffic plan has been issued for twin cities during the Test matches at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to October 29, 2025.

According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Police, 310 traffic officers and personnel will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow during the movement of cricket teams from Islamabad to Rawalpindi Stadium.

To facilitate the public, alternative routes have also been announced. Travelers from Margalla Road towards Khanna can use Faisal Avenue, Blue Area, Club Road, and Lehtrar Road. Citizens heading towards sectors G-9, G-10, G-11, and Tarnol are advised to use F-10 Road via Faisal Avenue. Those traveling from Rawalpindi Saddar to Islamabad should use Srinagar Highway via Peshawar Mor, while commuters from IJP Road are advised to use Sabzi Mandi Road.

Traffic police officers will be deployed along service roads to guide the public. The spokesperson warned that traffic congestion may occur on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway during team movements, especially during office hours, school timings, and evening rush hours.

Citizens have been advised to allow extra travel time, remain patient, and cooperate with traffic personnel. Islamabad Police has assured that every effort will be made to minimize public inconvenience.
