Islamabad (Web Desk) — There’s good news for inflation-stricken citizens as a major decrease in petroleum product prices is expected for the next 15 days.
According to sources, starting from October 16, petrol prices are likely to be reduced by Rs 6.10 per litre, high-speed diesel by 97 paisas, kerosene oil by Rs 2.75, and light diesel oil by Rs 1.64 per litre.
The petroleum industry has completed its working and submitted the summary to OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority). OGRA is expected to send the revised pricing summary to the Petroleum Division, which will forward it to the Ministry of Finance later today.
Sources added that the final approval of the new prices will be given tomorrow after consultation with the Prime Minister.
