Sheikh Tamim To Visit Pakistan Next Year: Arif Ali Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari held a key meeting with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha. During the meeting, Sheikh Tamim announced that he would visit Pakistan in early next year.

Sheikh Tamim expressed that Qatar is proud of Pakistan and its achievements. He praised the contributions of the Pakistani community and said he hopes to see its numbers increase significantly.

President Zardari Meets Emir of Qatar in Doha, Strengthens Bilateral Ties

President Zardari conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, and both leaders pledged to further strengthen historical and fraternal ties. He also commended Qatar’s progress and the Emir’s visionary leadership.

The Emir called the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defense agreement timely and commendable, highlighting Pakistan’s unique position in maintaining relationships with China, the West, and Gulf countries simultaneously.

President Zardari proposed enhancing cooperation in defense, defense production, agriculture, and food security between the two nations, which the Emir approved, instructing relevant authorities to initiate immediate coordination.

President Zardari appreciated Qatar’s role in hosting negotiations and its engagement on Afghanistan-related matters. Sheikh Tamim expressed hope that Pakistan and Afghanistan would resolve current issues and overcome recent challenges and accepted the invitation to visit Pakistan next year.
