Security forces conducted successful intelligence-based operations in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 34 Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR stated that between October 13 and 15, operations were carried out in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, and Bannu.
In Spinwam, North Waziristan, security forces launched an intelligence-based operation following reports of terrorist presence. During an intense exchange of fire, 18 terrorists were neutralized.
In another operation in South Waziristan, eight terrorists were killed during a gun battle, while in a third encounter in Bannu, eight more terrorists were eliminated.
The ISPR spokesperson added that clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate remaining Indian-sponsored militants in the area.
Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operations against Indian-backed terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that in Spinwam, South Waziristan, and Bannu, the security forces demonstrated remarkable professionalism and foiled the terrorists’ nefarious designs, sending 34 of them to hell.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the government will take every possible step to protect the public and ensure national security.
He further stated that the counter-terrorism campaign will continue with full force until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.
