Security Forces Conduct Operations In Bannu And Khyber
In two separate operations conducted in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from November 29 to December 1, security forces killed 8 Khawarij while two soldiers, including a captain, were martyred.
According to the ISPR, the first intelligence-based operation was carried out in the Bakakhel area of Bannu, where security forces targeted the Khawarij hideout on information about the presence of Khawarij.
During the operation, five Khawarij were killed and 9 were injured, however, during this, Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain, 29, from Jhang district, was martyred while fighting bravely.
The second operation was carried out in the Shagai area of Khyber district, where three Khawarij were killed and two were arrested.
During the fierce exchange of fire in this operation, Captain Muhammad Zohaibuddin, 25, from Lahore, led his team and fought bravely and died while fighting bravely.
These Khawarij were involved in several terrorist operations, the Khawarij targeted security forces and innocent civilians.
According to the ISPR, a clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining Khawarij in the area.
