Schools Reopen in Punjab After War Scare
The Punjab government has officially announced the reopening of all educational institutions across the province starting tomorrow (May 12), following the recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
According to details, Punjab’s Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, confirmed that all public and private schools, colleges, and universities will resume academic activities as usual from Monday.
It is worth mentioning that due to the recent cross-border tensions and Indian aggression, the Punjab government had ordered the closure of all educational institutions on May 9 and 10 as a precautionary measure.
Now, with the ceasefire in place and after thorough security assessment reports from law enforcement agencies, the government has decided to resume the educational process.
The education minister assured parents, students, and teachers that the security of educational institutions has been further enhanced and all necessary measures have been taken to ensure safety.
