Saudi Envoy Discusses Regional Peace and Ties: Shahbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had an important meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, in which bilateral relations, regional situation, and matters of mutual interest were discussed in detail.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, and thanked the Saudi leadership and people who have always shown strong solidarity with Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while expressing Pakistan’s unequivocal position on the peace and order situation in South Asia after the Pahalgam incident, said that Pakistan condemns all forms of terrorism and has made unprecedented sacrifices for global peace.

He strongly rejected the Indian allegations leveled against Pakistan without any evidence and reiterated his demand for a transparent and impartial international investigation into the incident.

The Prime Minister stressed that the cooperation of friendly countries, including Saudi Arabia, has been key in Pakistan’s economic recovery and that Indian efforts to undermine these achievements are unacceptable. He appealed to brotherly countries to put effective pressure on India to reduce tensions in the region.

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki thanked the Prime Minister and said that Saudi Arabia will continue to work closely with Pakistan for peace and stability in the region.

He reiterated the commitment to further strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries.
