Saudi Arabia announced to increase in investment in Pakistan from 2.2 billion dollars to 2.8 billion dollars.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the increase in foreign investment in Pakistan continues.
During the visit to Saudi Arabia, with the special efforts of the Prime Minister, an additional investment of 600 million dollars was announced by Saudi Arabia in Pakistan, as a result of which the total volume of recent Saudi investments in Pakistan became 2.8 billion dollars.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Saudi Minister of Investment and Advisor to the Royal Diwan held a joint press conference in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Ishaq Dar, Atta Tarar, Jam Kamal Khan, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present on this occasion.
Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz said that during the visit to Pakistan, 2.2 billion dollars of investment was agreed upon under 27 memorandums of understanding, then he said that this is the beginning which will increase further.
He announced to increase in the investment from 2.2 to 2.8 billion dollars.
Expressing his gratitude for the announcement of further investment, the Prime Minister said that he is grateful to Saudi Arabia for its cooperation in financial matters.
Together with Saudi Arabia, we will achieve prosperity and development and achieve common goals.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Saudi Arabia started implementing the investment agreements in Pakistan before the ink was dry, and the meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince proved to be very fruitful.
The Prime Minister said that Future Investment Annie Shitto is a visionary project of the Saudi Crown Prince, and he is grateful to the Saudi Crown Prince for his cooperation with Pakistan in financial matters.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will set the goals of prosperity together, the ink of the agreements has not yet dried and work on them has started.
The Prime Minister said that he had a very fruitful meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman yesterday, and thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for the cooperation with Pakistan in financial matters.
The Saudi investment minister said that Saudi Arabia is a second home for millions of Pakistanis. I am grateful for the excellent hospitality during my visit to Pakistan.
It should be remembered that 27 memorandums of understanding and agreements worth 2.2 billion dollars were signed during the visit of Saudi Arabia’s investment delegation to Pakistan in October 2024, the number of which has now increased to 34.
Out of the Saudia Pakistan investment projects, work has started on 5 projects and is progressing rapidly towards completion.
