Saudi Arabia Decides To Increase Investment In Pakistan
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held an important meeting with the Saudi Minister of Investment, His Excellency Khalid Al-Falih, the Head of the Joint Task Force for Economic Engagement, Muhammad Al-Tuwaijri during his official visit to Saudi Arabia.
The meeting discussed in detail the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries, the promotion of Saudi investment in Pakistan, and the expeditious implementation of joint projects in various sectors.
The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to provide facilities to Saudi investors in Pakistan and highlighted the country’s investment-friendly policies and strategic location.
He highlighted Pakistan’s potential in the sectors of energy, infrastructure, agriculture,e, a nd technology and invited Saudi businesses to take advantage of investment opportunities under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
Saudi Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, and Head of the Task Force, Muhammad Al-Tuwaijri expressed keen interest in further strengthening economic partnership with Pakistan.
The two leaders agreed to promote institutional cooperation for the speedy completion of investment projects and their effective implementation.
It was also emphasized on this occasion that the immediate implementation of joint projects will further promote bilateral economic relations.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Minister for Climate Change Mosaddiq Mali,k and National Coordinator SIFC Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ahmed.
The Saudi delegation included representatives from the Saudi Ministry of Investment and the Joint Task Force established to promote economic relations between the two countries.
The meeting is being seen as an important milestone in promoting long-term economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
