Sarfraz Will Be Seen In Action In The Pakistan-Bangladesh Test Series

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed is all set to don the white kit once again after 7 months, will be seen in action in the home series against Bangladesh.

After a poor performance in the ICCT Twenty20 World Cup 2024, the next step for the Pakistan cricket team is the long format series. Pakistan will play two Test matches against Bangladesh at home in August as part of the ICC Test Championship.

According to sources, Sarfraz Ahmed may be seen keeping wickets in place of Mohammad Rizwan in the Test series. Some senior players including Babar Azam may be rested in both the Test matches.

Under the leadership of Shaan Masood, some new players may get a chance to join the team. These players could include Abdullah Shafiq, Salman Ali Agha and Saud Shakeel while Shaheen Afridi and Rizwan are also likely to be rested.

Sources also say that captain Shan Masood wants to replace Rizwan with the responsibility of wicketkeeping to Sarfaraz in this series. The selection committee will consult captain Shaun Masood and Test coach Jason Gillespie to form the national team.
