Sarbaz Ali Makes History In Mountaineering

Pakistani mountaineer Sarbaz Ali has set a new milestone in the world of mountaineering by scaling all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters without supplemental oxygen.

He has become the first mountaineer from Pakistan to achieve this feat.

Sarbaz Ali completed this historic feat today by scaling the 8,586-meter-high Kenchanjunga. Earlier, he had also scaled Annapurna without supplemental oxygen last month.

It may be recalled that Sarbaz Ali had already scaled 12 of the 14 highest peaks, however, he had used oxygen on Annapurna and Kenchanjunga during his initial journey. For the historical record, he had to scale both these peaks again and without oxygen.

Now he has joined the select few mountaineers in the world to scale all these peaks above 8,000 meters without any supplementary oxygen, and has become a proud name for Pakistan.
