Sana Yousuf Murder: Accused Arrested Within 20 Hours
Islamabad: IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi has said that tough questions were being raised across the country regarding Sana Yousuf’s murder,
and identifying the accused was a very complicated step. However, Islamabad Police has reached the killer within 20 hours.
In a press conference, the IG said that several teams were busy in the Sana Yousuf murder case using various modern technologies such as cellular tracking and analyzing more than 300 phone calls.
Sana Yousuf’s mobile phone was found in the possession of the accused, after which raids were conducted in Faisalabad and Jaranwala, and the accused Omar Hayat was arrested.
According to Ali Nasir Rizvi, the accused Omar Hayat is 22 years old, a matriculation failure, and his father is a government employee.
The accused tried to contact Sana Yousuf repeatedly before the murder, but she kept rejecting him. The accused also tried hard to establish contact on Sana Yousuf’s birthday.
Sana Yousaf was 17 years old at the time of the murder and was very popular on social media. The incident took place at 5 pm in the G-13-1 area, where she could not survive due to two bullet wounds.
The IG said that the accused tried to erase the evidence by taking his mobile phone with him, but the police obtained the video recording of 113 cameras and arrested him. The killer will be brought to justice with irrefutable evidence.
It should be noted that after the murder incident, there was deep concern across the country, and seven teams were formed to investigate the case.
