Islamabad: Maulana Fazlur Rehman has once again become important in the political atmosphere of Pakistan in connection with the constitutional amendments related to the judiciary by the government.
The government and the opposition met Maulana last night, the details of which have come to light.
According to the sources, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) could not take any decision in these meetings.
The party leadership said that they would consult each other on this issue, and only after that a decision can be reached.
In the meeting, it was also assured that the government would consider the suggestions of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged the government to implement judicial reforms.
Maulana was badly neglected in the formation of the present government.
In this context, the government delegation also assured to remove Maulana’s problems, and the talks of walking together and seeking guidance were also repeated.
Sources say that the government will respond tomorrow after consultation on the suggestions given by Maulana.
After the government’s response, the JUI will once again consult the opposition, and then respond to the government.
Regarding the latest situation, the sources say that government delegations kept coming to Maulana Fazlur Rehman with new proposals every time.
Maulana said that sometimes they talk about the Constitutional Court and sometimes the panel of judges, so far the government itself does not know anything final, until they show the draft they cannot give an opinion.
The PTI delegation told Fazlur Rehman that whatever we do together with the opposition, our common stand will give better results.
It should be noted that on the other hand, JUI leader Senator Kamran Murtaza has said that some suggestions have come from the government on constitutional amendments.
On which we need some time to consult, Maulana will think over the proposals and consult with the party colleagues.
