Religious Ministry Slashes Hajj Package Prices
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a reduction in the prices of long and short-duration packages for Hajj 2025.
This reduction is due to agreements made in Saudi Arabia, which have resulted in significant savings in hotel and accommodation costs.
Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain announced in a press conference that the cost of the long-duration Hajj package covering forty days has been reduced by another twenty-five thousand rupees, while the short-duration Hajj package covering 25 days has been reduced by another fifty thousand rupees.
Earlier, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs on January 29, 2025, the cost of the long-duration Hajj package per person was fixed at one million 75,000 rupees, while the cost of the short-duration package was fixed at one million 150,000 rupees.
After the new announcement, the total cost of the long-duration Hajj package has been reduced to one million 50,000 rupees per person, while the total cost of the short-duration Hajj package has been reduced to one million 150,000 rupees.
Saudi Arabia has allocated a quota of 179,210 pilgrims for Pakistan in 2025, which has been divided equally between government and private schemes.
According to the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, the third installment of the long-term Hajj package is Rs 450,000, while the third installment of the 25-day Hajj package is Rs 500,000. The third installment must be deposited in designated banks from February 6 to February 14.
Hajj agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, will new facilities be provided?
An agreement has been reached between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for Hajj 2025. The agreement was signed by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Saudi Minister for Hajj Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah.
This year, 179,210 Pakistanis will perform Hajj. Both sides have agreed to provide the best facilities to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs said that Pakistani pilgrims will be given a special place in Mina and the rates will also be reduced.
A shortened Hajj program of twenty to twenty-five days has been introduced to make the Hajj journey more accessible, easy, and comfortable.
Each Hajj pilgrim will receive a specially designed bag containing the Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification,n and relevant information.
All information for Hajj pilgrims will be available on their mobile phones through a special mobile app.
Pilgrims will be able to keep themselves informed about their Hajj group information, training schedule, flight information, accommodation in Saudi Arabia, payment, and live maps and locations of places during Hajj.
