Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik held a meeting with a delegation from OGDCL and the London-based law firm Milbank.
Milbank partner Muneeb Hussain, who represents the financiers of the Reko Diq Project, briefed the minister on the positive developments regarding the project’s financial close.
The delegation shared encouraging updates on the progress of the financing process and the ongoing steps required for reaching financial closure.
Federal Minister Ali Pervez Malik termed the advancement in the project’s financing as highly welcome, stating that the Reko Diq project will play a pivotal role in boosting new investment in Pakistan’s minerals and energy sectors.
He further reaffirmed that the Government of Pakistan fully supports new investment in the minerals and energy sectors and remains committed to ensuring sustainable growth in the country’s petroleum industry.
