Reaccreditation of Suleman Dawood School of Business by AACSB International

The accreditation for the degree programs provided by the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at LUMS has been extended by the AACSB International Board of Directors.

SDSB is the first business school in Pakistan to receive accreditation from AACSB International in 2019. The latest extension of this accreditation, which puts SDSB in the top 6% of business schools worldwide, is evidence of the excellent education the institution offers.

Since 1916, AACSB has been recognized for its unwavering dedication to the highest standards of excellence. It provides learning and development, business education intelligence, and quality assurance services to over 1,900 member organizations and over 1,000 accredited business schools globally. In business education, AACSB fosters influence, stimulates innovation, and encourages participation.

The mission-driven, demanding process of becoming accredited by the AACSB entails a thorough audit of internal operations, mentorship from an AACSB adviser, and a peer-reviewed evaluation with an emphasis on ongoing progress.

Schools concentrate on creating and carrying out a strategy to fulfill their mission and comply with AACSB accreditation requirements over this multiyear journey. These standards, which are founded on principles, demand excellence in research, teaching and learning, innovation and strategic management.

Regarding this accomplishment, Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor of LUMS, said: “The AACSB reaccreditation demonstrates the outstanding caliber and significance of our business programs at SDSB. It is evidence of the effort and commitment of our teachers, staff, and students, who always maintain the greatest standards. This accomplishment not only confirms our place among the world’s best business schools, but it also shows how committed we are to producing future leaders who will promote goodwill throughout the globe.

“We are thrilled to have received reaccreditation, as it is testament to the caliber and significance of our business programs. According to Dr. Fazal Jawad, Dean of SDSB, “it is a reflection of our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in all areas of our activity.”

“The AACSB reaccreditation highlights the unwavering dedication and hard work of countless individuals at the SDSB,” said Dr. Kumail Rizvi, Director of Accreditation. Our constant focus on quality and progress has been evident throughout our reaccreditation process.

This accomplishment confirms SDSB’s dedication to provide the best business education possible and supporting the international business community. The institution would like to thank all of our stakeholders for their unwavering commitment and support in helping us earn this esteemed designation.
