Ramadan Moon Sighting: Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Meets Today
Islamabad: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today in Peshawar to sight the moon of Ramadan 1446 Hijri this year.
According to the Auqaf Department, the meeting will be chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir.
In addition, zonal committee meetings will also be held in Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, Islamabad, and other cities.
The final announcement of the moon sighting or not will be made by the Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
On the other hand, the local Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Jamia Masjid Qasim Ali Khan will also meet tomorrow in Peshawar. Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai will chair the committee.
The meeting is also expected to discuss the country’s economic situation and political affairs, while the decision regarding the start of Ramadan is eagerly awaited.
