Rain & Snowfall Forecast for Several Regions Today
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in most parts of the country today, while rain and snowfall have already started in some areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Sunday, rain is expected in North Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree and Galiyat, while snowfall is expected in the mountains.
According to the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy fog is likely to prevail in most plain areas of Punjab in the morning and night.
While rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Kasur and Lahore.
Moderate to heavy fog is also expected in Upper Sindh including Sukkur, Benazirabad, Shikarpur, and Khairpur in the morning and night.
Most districts of Balochistan are expected to remain extremely cold and dry.
Rain and snowfall at a few places were recorded in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours.
The weather in other parts of the country was cold and partly cloudy while it was extremely cold in northern Balochistan. Moderate to heavy fog was observed in most districts of Punjab and upper Sindh.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Chitral 73 mm, Mir Khani 29, Dir (Upper 27, Lower 03), Drosh 20, Kalam 04, Pattan, Parachinar 03, Malam Jabba, Kakol 02 and Skardu 04 mm.
The highest snowfall was recorded in Chitral 11 inches, Kalam, Drosh 02 and Malam Jabba 01 inches.
The lowest temperature was recorded in Ziarat at minus 11, Kalat at minus 09, Quetta at minus 08, Gopis at minus 06, Parachinar, Bagroot at minus 04, Hunza and Leh at minus 03 degrees Celsius.
