Quetta: Sada Bahar Daewoo Bus Stopped Not Abduction, but a Financial Dispute, Says AC Karezat
Quetta (Staff Reporter): A passenger bus of the Sada Bahar Daewoo service, traveling from Quetta to Taunsa Sharif, was intercepted near Qasim Hotel, Bostan area, within the Karezat limits at around 11:00 AM. Initially feared to be a case of armed abduction, authorities have clarified that it was, in fact, a financial dispute.
According to Assistant Commissioner Karezat, Amir Hamza, no abduction took place. The bus was stopped due to a monetary dispute involving an outstanding payment of approximately Rs. 7.5 million, allegedly owed by the bus owner.
Levies officials stated that the bus and its two drivers were taken due to this ongoing financial matter. Meanwhile, the armed individuals reportedly allowed the passengers to continue their journey on other vehicles without any harm.
The local administration, under the direction of AC Karezat, is actively working to recover the drivers and the bus. Amir Hamza assured that the drivers will soon be safely recovered and that those involved in the incident will be apprehended shortly.
According to sources from Sohail Gaddi Taunsa, the stranded passengers have already resumed their travel to Taunsa Sharif via alternative transportation.
