Quetta on High Alert: CTD Prevents Major Attack
QUETTA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Balochistan averted a major disaster in Quetta by acting on a tip-off.
A considerable quantity of arms and ammunition, including automatic weapons, IEDs, hand grenades, and other dangerous ammunition, were recovered during the operation in the Sariab Road area.
According to the CTD spokesperson, the operation was conducted based on intelligence, which identified suspicious activities and ammunition hoarding.
A major terrorist attack that was likely to take place in the next 24 to 72 hours was effectively prevented with a professional and prompt response.
Initial investigations have revealed that the terrorists were planning a major attack.
However, no arrests have been made yet, and raids are being conducted at various locations in search of the terrorists.
