Punjab Schools to Remain Open on May 28 for Youm-e-Takbir Events
Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to keep all government schools across the province open on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbir on May 28.
The School Education Department has issued a formal letter to all district education authorities in this regard.
According to the letter, special ceremonies, national songs, and tributes to the Pakistani Armed Forces will be held in the morning assembly to highlight the importance of Youm-e-Takbir.
Along with this, speech competitions, art, and national song competitions will also be organized at the district level in all government schools.
Furthermore, the letter states that students who win the competitions at the district level will be given a cash prize of Rs 50,000, so that patriotism and national consciousness can be promoted among the youth.
At the end of the Youm-e-Takbir celebrations, a formal announcement of summer vacations will also be made.
