The spokesperson for PDMA stated that water flow is increasing continuously due to heavy rains in the mountainous areas of Koh-e-Sulaiman. DG PDMA Irfan Kathia has instructed the concerned administration to stay on high alert.
Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner and deputy commissioners have been informed about the situation. The PDMA director general emphasized the need to keep staff alert in emergency control rooms.
Rescue 1122 disaster response teams should also remain on high alert. Sufficient stock of petrol and diesel should be maintained for rescue operations. The directive is to evacuate houses and cattle in the rivers and ensure provision of food, clean drinking water, and other facilities in flood relief camps.
