Punjab Govt Report Clears Sexual Assault Claims In Lahore College Case

LAHORE: The committee formed by the Punjab government has submitted a preliminary investigation report into the alleged rape of a female student in a private college.

The preliminary report of the High Power Committee of the Punjab government has come out on the issue of the alleged rape of a female student in a private college in Lahore.

It is said that the High Power Committee met the alleged victim girl and her parents at her house for 3 hours and recorded the statements of 36 people on Tuesday.

The student and her parents have applied to register a case under the Cybercrime Act against those spreading lies on social media.

The High Power Committee formed by the Chief Minister of Punjab spent the whole day on Tuesday in the inquiry of the same case and the committee meeting was held at the Civil Secretariat in which all the factors were seen in detail.

The committee recorded the interviews of DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran, Director of the said college Arif Chaudhry, Principal College Dr Sadia Javed, ASP Gulberg Shah Rukh Khan, Security Incharge Punjab College Gulberg Campus 10, Rescue Officer Shahid and 28 students.

A high-level committee formed by Chief Minister Punjab headed by Home Secretary Punjab reached the house of the affected student and recorded the student’sestatementher parents’.

The first-year student and her parents, who were linked to the incident of rape on social media, said in their statement that the girl fell from the bed at home on October 2, due to which she was first admitted to the General Hospital, then to Kent on October 3. Received treatment from Dr. Sabir Hussain of Brain and Spine Clinic, later started treatment at Faqaz Hospital in Model Town Lahore on 4th October.

The report stated that due to a breathing problem, the girl remained in the ICU and was discharged from the hospital on October 11.

It was further stated that the victim girl was on regular leave from the college from October 3 to October 15 and during that time her name was linked to the false rape incident as part of the propaganda.

The said student and her parents clarified that there was no incident of rape against them and that lies are being spread continuously on social media.

The student and her parents have requested the police to register a case under the Cybercrime Act against those involved in the false incident and take strict legal action.

Among those who visited the house of the affected girl for 3 hours were Secretary of Home Punjathe the b, Secretary of Special Education, Secretary of Higher Education, and Additional Secretary of Home.

It should be noted that the FIA ​​has also set up a 7-member committee of the Cyber ​​Crime Cell to investigate the incident.
