The government of Pakistan has announced that there will be a public holiday on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) on 12th Rabi’ul-Awwal.
The notification issued by the Cabinet Division states that on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (12 Rabi Al-Awwal 1446 Hijri), there will be a public holiday across the country on September 17, 2024.
Two days ago, a meeting of the Central Viewing Hilal Committee was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad to sight the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Ruet-e-Hilal Zonal Committee Islamabad, SUPARCO, the Department of Meteorology, and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
