A Public Holiday Was Announced On January 28
The Sindh government has announced the closure of all educational institutions across the province on the occasion of Shab-e-Miraj.
The notification issued by the government states that all government and private educational institutions will remain closed on January 28 (Tuesday) due to Shab-e-Miraj.
Shab-e-Miraj is celebrated on the 27th of Rajab with religious fervor and devotion. On this night, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) was given the honor of Ascension. He (peace be upon him) rode on Buraq along with Hazrat Gabriel (peace be upon him) and went from Mecca to Masjid-e-Aqsa.
Then he (peace be upon him) was taken to the heavens, where Allah Almighty granted the honor of Ascension to His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Every year, the children of Islam celebrate Shab-e-Miraj with religious fervor and devotion. Special gatherings and gatherings of blessings and greetings are organized in mosques.
