A meeting was held at GHQ between the Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) and the National Peace and Awareness Committee (NPAC) to strengthen the promotion of a national narrative and ensure public awareness regarding security and unity.
During the meeting, both sides expressed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and a joint commitment against anti-state narratives. NPAC emphasized the condemnation of extremist groups, including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Afghan Taliban, stating that terrorism has no justification.
DG ISPR highlighted that discussions were held on internal security concerns in the context of TTP, TTA, and other extremist threats, and that a unified stance had been reinforced. He also affirmed Pakistan’s principled position on issues like Kashmir and Gaza, stressing that supporting the oppressed is a moral obligation of the nation.
NPAC announced its plan to disseminate messages of unity, social harmony, and constitutional equality nationwide, while both sides agreed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against hate speech, sectarianism, and Takfiri narratives.
DG ISPR emphasized, “Public awareness and a truth-based narrative are decisive weapons to counter the psychological warfare of the enemy.” He suggested increasing awareness and guidance sessions in mosques, religious schools, and universities to promote the state’s narrative.
The meeting was described as exceptionally productive, with expectations for new paths of trust and practical cooperation between the committee and the armed forces.
